Immerse yourself in the beauty and wonder of the Bay of Islands during this island and wildlife cruise. Spot dolphins, penguins and seabirds in their natural habitat and stop over at a nature reserve island for an hour of exploration and snorkelling. A delicious BBQ lunch is included.

Characterised by deep azure waters, turquoise green islands and diverse wildlife, there is no better way to experience the Bay of Islands than on a 50ft catamaran! After a briefing, you will depart Paihia Wharf and sail into the expansive waters, on the look out for the world's smallest penguins, seabirds and other mammals like dolphins and whales. Breathe in the fresh sea breeze before stopping off at a secluded island for an hour of snorkelling, swimming and exploring the island by foot. After immersing yourself in this wonder-filled nature reserve, head back to the boat for a delicious BBQ lunch. The remainder of the cruise is spent dolphin-searching. As the only yacht licensed to view and research dolphins, this is your chance to learn and be amazed by dolphins and the enthusiastic crew. Every booking contributes directly to marine research and conservation.

  • This experience is six hours in duration
  • Operates 9am to 3pm from September to May
  • Not available on Christmas Day
  • All children (4-14yrs) must be accompanied by a paying adult. This tour is not suitable for children under four

  • A reasonable level of fitness is require to partipate in the cruise
  • Smoking is not permitted on any cruises, including e-cigarettes
  • Dolphin sightings are not guaranteed
  • Change your booking up to 48 hours before the start time of your experience
  • Changes are not permitted within 48 hours of your experience
  • Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience

Our 3rd time out with Carino

We are 1 1/2 hours from the Bay of Islands and have been on the Carino 3 times. In our opinion it is a great day out.
