Napier is the self-proclaimed Art Deco capital of the world and what better way to learn how it ticks than with a guided walk with one of the friendly locals.
Departing daily at 10am, this tour takes in the heart of Napier's Art Deco quarter. You'll hear the fascinating story of the towns destruction from the 1931 earthquake and how Napier rebuilt itself. Tour the buildings that exhibit this truly unique architectural style and culture.
At the conclusion of your tour you are invited to view a 20 minute documentary movie, The Day That Changed The Bay, recounting the effects of the earthquake. The movie is at 10am, followed by a 1 hour walk.

This tour starts and finishes at 5 Clive Square East, Memorial Square, Napier.
In the event of rain or inclement weather your experience will still go ahead unless contacted by the experience provider. If your experience is cancelled you will be rescheduled by the provider. Please bring a warm coat and umbrella in wet weather and a hat in summer.
