One ticket, two incredible farm experiences ! First-up is the Agrodome Farm Show, a engaging, hour-long event during which you’ll hear amazing facts and have a few laughs as you’re introduced to 19 breeds of sheep. Then, witness a live sheep shearing demonstration and a fun sheep auction with bidding from the floor and audience participation.

Then, climb aboard the all-weather, all-terrain vehicle and begin your Farm Tour, learning fascinating things and sharing a few more laughs as you ride along. You'll also get the chance to hand-feed and take photos with all sorts of friendly animals, including Romney sheep, cattle, deer, llamas, ostrich, pigs, and alpaca. Keep an eye out, you may even spot some rare breeds of sheep during your ride!"

Plus, your Farm Experience ticket includes access to the Farmyard Nursery, home to the smallest, cutest animals at the Agrodome. Pet and have your photo taken with cute lambs and other baby farm animals, then pop across to the herding area to watch a free live dog trial after the show!

Important information

  • Please allow 2.5 hours to complete the full Agrodome Farm Experience (Farm Show, Dog Trial, Baby Animal Nursery, Farm Tour)
  • This experience is approximately two and a half hours in duration
  • Please check-in 15 minutes prior to the beginning of the tour
  • Suitable for all ages and fitness levels
  • Visitors have the option to hop off the trailers at particular points to interact with animals, so wet weather jackets and quick-drying trousers are recommended on rainy days.
  • Children visiting the Agrodome must, at all times, be supervised by a responsible person aged 16 years or over at a ratio of not more than seven children to each such responsible supervisor.
  • The family pass is valid for entry of two adults and up to three children, or one adult and up to three children
  • Change your booking up to 24 hours before the start time of your experience
  • Changes are not permitted within 24 hours of your experience
  • Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience

The Agrodome is an all-weather attraction. We recommend visitors dress for the ever-changing New Zealand weather conditions. If weather conditions force the operator to cancel your booking, your booking would fall under the cancellation and refund policy specified by the operator.

Hardly any animals

We got a great deal on Redballoon for this experience, much cheaper than booking directly on the website. However, it was disappointing. The show was entertaining - the host was very knowledgeable and funny. Very interactive with the audience, especially kids, but we could barely hear him due to the mic echoes. It was well organised and reception was very friendly. The cafe didn’t have much on offer and it was only 1pm. We went to Heritage farm (by the 3D art gallery) last year - similar concept but cheaper, there were more animals and it felt less rushed. Key difference is the farm show and only worth going if you get the good deal on Redballoon.
