Mt Tarawera is a unique culturally infused world class experience like no other. This four hour fully guided excursion begins with a 4X4 journey to the Craters Edge, continues with hiking to the summit of Mt Tarawera and finishes with an optional run into the heart of the volcanic crater.

This fully guided walking experience encompasses the unique landscape and history of the area. Each journey begins with an off road 4X4 experience through native New Zealand bush, transporting you to the craters edge where you hike to the summit.
With unmatched scenic vistas and 360 panoramic views this experience is ideal for all ages and includes an optional run in to the heart of the volcanic crater.
