The walk from your car sets the tone for your night in a far-flung place, taking you through a grove of kanuka trees and across a farm paddock to your cabin sitting pretty on a hill. Your remoteness becomes clear the moment you arrive, with dominating vistas of the Seaward Kaikoura Range and towering hills in every direction.
