Sometimes referred to as the "eighth wonder of the world" Milford Sound boasts spectacular natural scenery with picture-perfect views. Sit back, relax and revel in the natural wonders aboard a modern catamaran as you learn about the local history and geology of the area from your expert guide. Munch on a freshly prepared picnic lunch as you glide past magnificent waterfalls, mountain peaks, basking seals and even a rare Fiordland crested penguin if you're lucky. Afterwards, enjoy a change of pace as you embark on a 60 minute guided kayak adventure that visits a tranquil, secluded cave. Finish the afternoon with a visit to New Zealand's only floating underwater observatory. Experience the magic of the underwater world as you descend 10 metres (64 steps) beneath the water's surface and encounter the region's rare black coral. Colourful informational panels will reveal more of the Milford Sound story, sharing fascinating marine, geological, historical and cultural facts.
