Enjoy this guided tour of one of New Zealand's most iconic breweries and learn about the brewing processing before relaxing with your newfound knowledge over a two course dinner and beer at the Alehouse.

Let your knowledgeable guide take you on a tour of one of New Zealand's most well known breweries, operational since 1876. Your 75 minute experience will take you through the old brewery before progressing into the new brew house allowing you to see the contrast. You'll also learn of the brewing process and how this has changed and evolved over the years before partaking in a tasting of six beers from the brewhouse.

At the conclusion of your tour, head to the Alehouse for a two course dinner (your choice of entree and main, or main and dessert)

  • Please allow 75 minutes for the tour before your dinner
  • Available daily except Good Friday, Easter Sunday, Easter Monday, ANZAC Day and Christmas. Other excluded dates may apply.

You must be over 18 for this experience. Valid proof of age documentation is required on check in - NZ Drivers License, Passport, Kiwi Access Card

Please note there are around 200 stairs on the tour but you will go down these in intervals. A lift will take you to the top of the brewery.

  • Change your booking up to 24 hours before the start time of your experience
  • Changes are not permitted within 24 hours of your experience
  • Late arrivals or no shows will result in you forfeiting your experience

There is a maximum 15 people on each tour.

Closed shoes are required.

Had a great time!

We did the brewery tour through Speights Brewery and it was very information. The guide knew everything about the company and the brewing process. Even through in some random trivia. We then went to the tasting room afterwards which was just phenomenal. Was able to try all of the beers. Then went to the restaurant for dinner which was nice. There was a set menu to pick from so you weren't able to pick from their normal menu. The food was great, plenty of flavour and big servings.
