Learn the basics of flying in Whakatane or Tauranga then get 40 minutes solid airtime! This experience lets you take control of the aircraft's more basic functions, teaching you climbing, flying straight/level, turning and descending. Get all the good stuff in one lesson - the funnest way to fly!
The flight starts with a 30-minute briefing, in which we cover a basic version of a student pilot's 'learn to fly' materials. You'll fly the mission (lesson) with your Instructor acting as your co-pilot. Your instructor will quietly handle any technical stuff for you.
Like the military basic training, here we cover the basic phases of flight, including climbing, straight and level, turning and descending. A serious student pilot would learn this over 4 lessons - but in this hour, you skip straight to the fun stuff!
This experience voucher is valid for 12 months from date of purchase.
Venue:
This experience is available in Whakatane on Sundays or Tauranga on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
Session Length
This experience totals around 1 hour - 20 minute - a 30 minute briefing prior and 40 minutes of flying!
Guidelines:
Participants must be physically nimble to climb in and out of a small aeroplane. The maximum weight is 100kgs.
Numbers:
You'll be one on one with your instructor, who is 30 years-experienced.
Weather:
If this experience needs to be postponed due to weather, you'll be advised at least 2 hours prior and a new date and time will be organised.
