See what lies beyond the Te Anau horizon with this scenic helicopter flight, a must-do experience for anyone visiting the land of the long white cloud. Departing from the Te Anau lakeside base, your journey begins with you soaring over Lake Te Anau and high above the Kepler Great Walk trail in the local’s backyard of the lower Kepler mountains. You will be able to soak up views of the Hidden Lakes and rugged mountain scenery out over the main divide, taking in the crisp alpine air when landing at a mountain tarn. Here you will be able to enjoy the vista and ruggedness of the Main Divide and breathe the crisp pure air of Fiordland before returning to where your journey began with a renewed hunger for adventure.
Minimum numbers do apply - two persons per flight - subject to aircraft availability, but we will always do our best to combine bookings in order to accommodate our customers.
You can watch the aircraft take off however space in office is limited, there is a toilet available on site.
The pilots make a weather call each morning. Passengers are welcome to call the office for an update. If we have concerns regarding weather, we usually try and give booked passengers a call the day before to talk through options.
Sturdy shoes, pants, and a light jacket. Wearing warm layers is a good idea since it can be a little colder up in the mountains at our landing location but nice and warm inside the helicopter.
All our flights are shared with others. If you would prefer to book an exclusive flight, please let us know at the time of booking and we will confirm the cost with you. The number of passengers and weight will determine the most the suitable aircraft.
