Trade the hustle and bustle of city life for Auckland's wild and beautiful natural landscapes on this half day tour. Head to the Arataki Centre to admire spectacular views and traditional Maori carvings, take a guided rainforest walk amongst giant trees and visit Piha's iconic black sand beach.
Let the natural beauty of Auckland unfold before you during this half day tour. Departing from your inner city accommodation, you will enjoy a 30 minute drive downtown to the Arataki Centre, perched high in the Waitakere Ranges. Here, expansive decks afford you with breathtaking panoramas from the Tasman Sea to the Pacific Ocean, whilst your guide shares their knowledge of the local history. The centre is also home to some traditional Maori carvings and your guide will explain their significance to the area. Your tour continues with a leisurely rainforest walk under the canopies of kauri trees and giant tree ferns, bursting with the sounds of native birdsong, before venturing west to the wild and rugged west coast at Piha Beach. Feel the iconic black sand between your toes as you stroll along this world-famous beach.
