Experience the original classic adventure as you weave, jump and float your way through the glowworm flecked underworld of Ruakuri Cave (3 hours).

Your black water rafting experience begins by checking in at our base where you await your adventure.

Your guide will then take you to be suited up into a wetsuit and given appropriate caving equipment and footwear. We have a lock up area for valuables, towels and clothes. This is an excellent opportunity to take photos of you in your gear before departing.

Now the adventure really begins with a short drive to the Ruakuri Reserve. Here you will be instructed on how to form an ‘eel’ and how to sit on your tubes. Tubes come in many shapes and sizes so pick the one that best fits!

A short bush walk to the entrance of the cave brings you to the Ruakuri Cave system here you will enter the cave and explore this natural cave wonderland. View stalactites and stalagmites, view cave formations and float on your tubes on the underground streamway.

The trip involves a small waterfall jump that is optional and a spectacular display of glowworms. Make your way back to the outside world and finish the trip off with hot showers and hot soup and snack at our Café. Allow 3 hours turnaround time.

This experience voucher is valid for 12 months from date of purchase.
