Enjoy the sights of the city and the scenic coastline in the company of your friendly and knowledgeable tour guide. Your tour incorporates Mt Victoria, the Chocolate Fish Cafe, Weta Cave, Red Rocks, the cable car, Lardy Norwood rose gardens, the Beehive, Old St Pauls and Wrights Hill.
Meet your guides in the morning at your choice of Wellington location and head up the windy streets of Mt Victoria for the superb views across the city and harbour to give you an appreciation of the lay of the land. Peter Jackson’s Weta Cave film empire is your next stop with a fascinating behind the scenes your of a dedicated area of the workshop.
Head to the renowned Chocolate Fish Cafe for lunch by the sea before continuing the tour around the rugged south coast to Red Rocks. Here you’ll take a short walk to the seal colony (when in season).
Drive back to the city and head up the famous cable car from Lambton Quay to the picturesque Botanical Gardens for a gentle stroll through the Lardy Norwood rose gardens. Tour the Beehive and Parliament building grounds before heading to nearby Old St Pauls, Wellington’s oldest church and a sight to behold in and of itself.
Finally, head out to Wright Hill, a historic military site with commanding views of the greater Wellington region to reflect back on your days adventures across the nation’s capital city.
