Wellington is New Zealand's coffee capital so it makes sense to start at the very beginning - a green coffee bean which neither looks nor smells like the end result! (Please note: coffee roasting is available on weekdays only. On weekends we will take you to one of our beloved local cafes for a unique coffee experience).
Then wander through Wellington's narrow streets to sample special treats - including gelato, chocolate, cheeses and unusual regional or seasonal produce. You will head to places the locals know and love and discuss food and eating trends among real New Zealanders.
Finish with a delicious two-course lunch with carefully matched regional wines or local craft beer at a top Wellington restaurant!
At the end of your tour you'll receive a list of your guide's favourite cafes, bars, restaurants, food stores and coffee roasters, to enjoy during the rest of your time in the capital. With this gourmet walking tour, you’ll work up an appetite for the best of Wellington!
