Ride your way through 20lm of the Queen Charlotte Track on this self guided bike tour. Choose from either the track only or a track and road option and take in the incredible sights of the Queen Charlotte Sound with beaches, coves and inlets, and the glistening water below.
Collect your bike and map in Picton before boarding your water taxi bound for Torea Bay in the Queen Charlotte Sound.
From Torea Bay, ride a short road section to join the main Queen Charlotte Track. A tough climb awaits and you will likely need to push your bike for a short distance but the view at the top across into the Kenepuru and Queen Charlotte Sound will be more than rewarding. Alternatively stick to Kenepuru Road for an easier option and re-join the track at Mistletoe Bay.
From Te Mahia Saddle, enjoy the gentle undulating ride with a gradual and exhilarating descent into Anakiwa. Enjoy glimpse into the glistening waters of Queen Charlotte Sound in breaks in the bush.
Upon reaching Anakiwa, head to the Green Caravan (summer time only) to purchase an ice cream or a cold drink. Sit back waterside and reflect on your fantastic day of cycling before joining your water taxi back to Picton.
