This full day self-guided wineries tour begins with a pick-up from your accommodation and a scenic transfer to the historic gold-mining village of Arrowtown. Here your adventure begins! Ride along the beautiful Arrow River Trail till it meets the Kawarau River, ride the original Miners Trail that crosses the Kawarau Suspension Bridge, the home of bungy and the beginning of the Gibbston Valley.

From the bungy site, set off to bike at your leisure along the Gibbston River Trail. Using your trail map stop off at as many as 8 Queenstown wineries along the way. Whether you want to stop for a relaxing lunch, explore the vineyards, have a picnic or sample some of the local wine, the choice is all yours. Spend your time as you like; you will be picked up by shuttle bus at 4.30pm from Gibbston Tavern (3.30pm 1 May - 30 September) for your transfer back to Queenstown.

  • Summer: 1 Oct - 30 April departs 9am, returns 5pm
  • Winter: 1 May - 30 Sept departs 10am returns 4pm
  • Approximate riding time: 2.5 - 3 hours
  • Not available on Christmas Day, Easter Sunday, Anzac Day and public holidays

Numbers vary you may be riding with anything from 1 to 10 other riders.

Dress Code

Sturdy shoes and activewear are recommended.
