Jump on a late model Suzuki DR650 motorbike and explore the stunning and isolated Southern Bays of the Banks Peninsula. Stop at a cheese factory for tastings, discover the Southern Crater rim and enjoy incredible views in every direction. Lunch at Duvauchelles is included.
Jump on a late model Suzuki DR650 motorbike and let your guide show you the natural beauty of the Banks Peninsula.
Head out of Birdlings Flat and along the shores of Lake Wairewa to Little River and the iconic Hilltop Hotel. Riding down to the cheese factory at Barrys Bay, stretch your legs and sample the cheese while watching it being made.
Stop for lunch at Duvauchelles (at your own cost), with views back down the harbour. With your belly full, head around the harbour to Wainui and off road up to the top of the deserted Southern crater rim for incredible views of Akaroa Harbour, the Southern Bays and the Pacific Ocean.
Towards the end of the road the Southern Alps and Kaitorete Spit begin to reveal themselves further and further. If time is on your side, wind down into the gorgeous Tumbledown Bay, where usually there are more seals than people frolicking in the water.
Make your way back up to the summit, and back on the sealed road, before heading back down the hill to Little River for refreshments and a catch up on the days events.
Tours are fully customisable for your riding ability and preferences, and can be entirely sealed roads if you prefer.
