Set the pace and discover Auckland, the 'City of Sails' by bicycle! Take in all the sights and delights as you pedal, from the Auckland Harbour Bridge and the city skyline to the America's Cup Village and Westhaven Marina. Immerse yourself in fascinating maritime history at the NZ Maritime Museum.
Because it has one of the world’s highest rates of boat ownership and is home to the Southern Hemisphere’s largest marina, Auckland has been affectionately referred to as the 'City of Sails.' Explore more of this gorgeous city during a self-guided bike tour. Armed with a map, you'll easily be able to find points of interest including the Westhaven Marina, the America's Cup Village, the Auckland Harbour Bridge and the Luxury Super Yacht Pavilion, all set against the stunning skyline backdrop. Your adventure also includes entry into the NZ Maritime Museum, where you'll discover the city's maritime legacy, from the earliest Maori arrivals around 1000 years ago, through to Auckland’s sailing prowess in the present day.
