Sailing Catamaran On The Edge Experience

Sail 'On the Edge', New Zealand's fastest commercial sailing catamaran and the only experience to visit the spectacular Hole in the Rock. Enjoy a delicious BBQ lunch during the stopover at one of the idyllic 144 islands where there is plenty of snorkelling, walking and other island activities.

This adventure provides an opportunity to experience the exhilarating ride aboard this impressive high performance catamaran, sailing the Bay of Islands.

Amazing photo opportunities and the chance to view abundant sea life, an absolute must for any visitor to the Bay.

Ride on the forward trampoline and enjoy the sensation of this amazing catamaran. You may even have the chance to view dolphins riding the bow wave of the yacht.

At lunchtime, anchor at one of the idyllic islands where a traditional kiwi barbeque is provided, often commented on as being the best lunch in the Bay. Passengers can go ashore and participate in some great island activities, swimming, snorkeling, nature walks, or simply kick back and enjoy the island atmosphere.

Session Length

Experience runs October - April and runs for a total of 6.5hours. 'On the Edge' departs Paihia at 9:45am, returning at 4:15pm.

Guidelines:

No experience is necessary. Trip not suitable for children under 5, for pregnant women or people with medical disabilities, wheelchairs can be accommodated with favourable weather. Please consult skipper prior to departure.

Numbers:

The yacht is a huge platform and is surveyed for a maximum of 60 passengers.

Weather:

'On the Edge' sails in all weather. If trip were cancelled, passengers would be re-scheduled to suit availability.
