Harbour Sailing Cruise with Lunch - Adult
Enjoy a dreamy lunch cruise as you sail Auckland's beautiful Waitemata Harbour on board our 50ft yacht. View the city from a different angle, breathe the fresh harbour air and , if you fancy, lend the crew a hand and help sail the vessel! Experience the best of Auckland on this harbour lunch cruise!
Upon boarding the yacht, your skipper and crew will introduce themselves and take you through a safety briefing prior to departure. During your 1.5 hour cruise you will be sailing on our specially-built 50ft yacht - Lotus 1500 model.
We then leave the berth and cruise to more sheltered waters in the Viaduct where you'll enjoy your lunch. Watch as the sights of Auckland sail by you and listen to some informative commentary.
Your picnic lunch includes:
- Your choice of either buttermilk bread filled with smoky chipotle mayonnaise, carved chicken breast, baby romaine lettuce, cucumber, red onion and crunchy bacon or Vegetarian option filled with char grilled lipstick pepper, black olive tapenade, cucumber, mayonnaise romaine lettuce and rocket
- Double chocolate brownie
- Fresh fruit
There is also a wide range of beverages that can be purchased for an additional cost (cash only).
After lunch you are free to sit back, relax and enjoy the view or participate in sailing the yacht! Take the helm, trim the sails and with the help of your informative crew you might be well on your way to a career in nautical navigating!
This experience voucher is valid for 12 months from date of purchase.
Venue:
Auckland.
Session Length
Cruises depart daily at 1pm. Bookings are essential and are subject to availability. Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to departure and allow 1.5 hours for the lunch cruise itself.
Guidelines:
No prior sailing experience is necessary - should you wish to participate in sailing the yacht our instructors will show you all the ropes and provide thorough instruction. Bring extra money as we have a cash bar on board (no EFTPOS facilities), and remember your camera!
Numbers:
The price quoted is for one person. We have four yachts and can accommodate up to 18 people on each.
Weather:
We will sail in almost all weather conditions. Should we have to cancel the cruise for safety reasons, we will reschedule for a later date. The inner harbour is well sheltered from sea swell so it remains relatively calm in high winds.
Other Info:
We require you to complete an awareness form explaining any medical conditions and a confirmation of parental supervision of any children. You will be charged the full amount if you cancel and provide less than 24 hours notice from the time of departure.
