Activity Highlights:

  • Learn about which species we target – and how to catch them - when kayak fishing
  • Cruise out in our luxury 4WD to one of our favourite kayaking and fishing spots
  • Paddle safely with a fish-finder and GPS, VHF radio, flares and even an EPIRB (Electronic Position Indicating Radio Beacon) as part of extensive safety precautions;
  • Kayak along the stunning coastline, relaxing, and fishing using various methods
  • Snapper, Kingfish, Gurnard, Kahawai, Trevally and John Dory are caught in this area
  • Lunch break at a beautiful beach and possibility for swimming
  • Return you and your legal-sized prized catch to your pick-up location
  • Prepare the fish yourself if you want to; otherwise we can teach or just do it for you

Venue:

Pick-up from Auckland.

Session Length

Available every day of the year except Christmas Day. Book in advance for summer, as we are busiest during this time. Leave Auckland at 10am and return at 6pm, Spend between four and six hours kayaking and fishing incl lunch, swimming and relaxing on the beach!

Guidelines:

Participants just need to be 14 or over and able to swim.

Numbers:

We operate with a minimum of two and a maximum of six participants per kayak fishing trip. If minimum numbers are not met we may need to reschedule your experience for a later date.

Weather:

In the case of poor weather conditions we may need to reschedule your experience for a later date. Overcast or rainy days are often better for fishing though. Please call us on the day prior to your fishing trip to reconfirm your booking and to check on wind conditions.

Other Info:

You will be accompanied by a qualified guide. Boatmasters, First-Aid incl Marine First-Aid, Bushcraft, VHF Radio and GPS certificates, as well as additional qualifications for kayaking, outdoor knowledge and all fishing gear will be provided.
