Be spellbound by unique rainforest and wild black sand surf beaches on Auckland’s multi-award winning Wilderness Experience. Discover native rainforest, thundering waterfalls and volcanic black sand.

This guided eco-tour takes you from the heart of Auckland to wilderness New Zealand. First you visit the Arataki Centre perched on the ridge of the Waitakere Ranges where you enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of two oceans. Learn about the traditional Maori carvings before heading to the lush rainforest where you walk the easy bush tracks amongst our famous kauri trees and giant tree ferns. Unwind by a cascading waterfall. Move on to feel the power of the wild and rugged west coast and stroll along awe-inspiring black sand beaches.

Session Length

Tour runs daily 12.30 – 5.30pm (approx). You will be notified of pick-up time from your accommodation upon booking.
