Sample some of New Zealand’s finest wines on this Waiheke Island wine tour and tasting, an indulgent day out only minutes from Auckland City! A sumptuous three hour experience where you will visit three vineyards to sample their wines whilst enjoying the natural beauty of the island.

Your wine tour and tasting experience begins when you will be met by a knowledgeable local vibe. After meeting any other guests joining your tour you will board our comfortable minibus before setting off on intimate introduction to the people, produce and natural splendours of Waiheke Island.

Be prepared for some awe inspiring scenery as you make your way around the island. Your guide will provide you with a wealth of knowledge about the scenery whilst you enjoy a stunning coastal panorama back to Auckland city, down the Hauraki Gulf and out to the Corramandel Peninsula.

You will tour three wineries in three hours – we select the optimum wineries based on the group’s tastes, the season and general availability. You also may have a chance to visit an olive oil producer if your group elects to do so.

Waiheke wineries offer boutique vineyards well known for their production of a Bordeaux style red as well as award winning Chardonnays and Syrahs.

At each picturesque vineyard you may be met by either the owner or winemaker who will talk you through the winemaking process and offer you tastings of 2-3 wines. Our guests often enjoy a walk through the vineyards and barrel rooms. There will be ample opportunity to ask any questions you may have.

At the end of the day you have an option to dine at several fine vineyard restaurants at your expense.

You will then be picked up and transported back in time for the afternoon ferry to Auckland.

You are sure to enjoy an amazing day of superb wines, all to be enjoyed by spectacular scenery!

The itinerary on the day will vary depending on availability, some of our favourite vineyards include:

- Mudbrick

- Kennedy Point

- Stonyridge

- Cable Bay

- Peacock Sky

- TeWhau

- Obsidian Vineyard

If you have a specific vineyard request we will do our best to accommodate this.

The tour was outstanding. We had a small group and our fabulous tour guide, Nigel, was attentive and pleasant. The vineyards were great and we were able to see and experience the variety of wineries on the island.

Like my wife I also had an enjoyable day. Steve was very interesting to listen to on the history of the Island. Having never been on a wine tour before we had a good time and would do it again.
