Do a Waiheke Lunch and Wine Tour for a gorgeous day out. Visit three wineries and sample some of New Zealand’s finest wines. Enjoy this indulgent experience only minutes from Auckland City! Visit three vineyards, sample wines and enjoy the natural beauty of Waiheke Island.

Your wine tour and lunch experience begins when you will be met by a knowledgeable local vibe. After meeting any other guests joining your tour you will board our comfortable minibus before setting off on intimate introduction to the people, produce and natural splendours of Waiheke Island.

Be prepared for some awe inspiring scenery as you make your war around the island. Your guide will provide you with a wealth of knowledge about the scenery whilst you enjoy a stunning coastal panorama back to Auckland city, down the Hauraki Gulf and out to the Coromandel Peninsula.

You will tour three wineries in three hours. You also may have a chance to visit an olive oil producer if your group elects to do so.

Waiheke wineries offer boutique vineyards well known for their production of a Bordeaux style red as well as award winning Chardonnays and Syrahs.

At each picturesque vineyard you will be met by either the owner, winemaker or a knowledgable staff member, who will talk you through the winemaking process and offer you tastings of 2-6 wines. Our guests often enjoy a walk through the vineyards and barrel rooms. There will be ample opportunity to ask any questions you may have.

At the end of the three hour tour you will get to sit back and enjoy a delightful grazing platter at one of two world renowned vineyard restaurant’s, Mudbrick Vineyard or Stonyridge Vineyard. Both venues offer platters which showcase the finest of local produce including Te Matuku bay oysters (when in season), local New Zealand cheeses, meats and seafood.

The itinerary on the day will vary depending on availability, some of our favourite vineyards include:

- Mudbrick

- Kennedy Point

- Goldwaters

- Cable Bay

- Passage Rock

- TeWhau

You will then be picked up and transported back in time for the afternoon ferry to Auckland.

You are sure to enjoy an amazing day of superb wine, cuisine and scenery!

This experience voucher is valid for 12 months from date of purchase.

Venue:

Waiheke Island, approximately a 35 minute ferry ride from Auckland.

Session Length

As a guide you will arrive at Waiheke Island at 10:35am and will be returned to the Matiatia Wharf return ferry at 4:00pm to arrive back in Auckland at 4:45pm. This experience operates everyday except Christmas Day, subject to availability.

Guidelines:

You must be over 18 to participate in the wine tastings, however younger guests are welcome.

Numbers:

The price quoted is for two people. There could be up to 19 people joining you on the experience, however generally our groups are between 2-12 people.

    As I have been to visit a larger Waiheke winery before, I particularly enjoyed seeing a small boutique vineyard, and also hearing something about their olive oil production. The tour guide was great and knew the island well. Lunch was very pleasant, with fabulous views of the sea and Auckland. A most enjoyable outing in wonderful weather, even better than I expected.

    We had a fabulous day out with an interesting group of people.Every one was out for a good time.The chosen venues we visited were all different but all into making our time with them a pleasant experience.The food tasting was an enlightening and new way for us to try a multitude of different wines.Great weather and a very fun experience.Looking forward to next time.

    We had small group of 7 total strangers that interacted very well for the day of the tour which was a bonus , venues all very good supportive knowledgeable driver
