Italian Pizza Cooking Class

This Italian Pizza cooking class is a pizza-making celebration in Auckland's nearby Long Bay Park. A passionate host will teach you how to create perfect calzones, pizzas, focaccia and ciabatta. Spend 3 hours laughing and baking with fresh ingredients, learning homestyle cooking - just heaven!

Take time out to learn the amazing ancient art of Italian baking.

Your friendly instructor will teach you two types of dough preparation. Put your ciabatta on to bake in the outdoor oven (what an awesome thing to say!) we'll roll out the pizza dough and get cracking on that!

No matter how easy it looks pizza decoration doesn't happen haphazardly either! Learn about what goes where and why, using premium Italian ingredients from basil and pancetta to four types of cheese.

Ooh then comes the preparation of the fantastic ricotta calzone and the focaccia Genovese... how do they get those beautiful herb combination's and perfect textures every time? You'll find out over the course of this class.

Of course though the proof is in the pudding... or the pizza... so you'll have to sit down and eat your lovely creations to accurately judge your successes. The price of perfection we suppose!

A great, relaxing (but very well organised) day. I thought three hours was going to be too short but we packed in a lot! I am an experienced bread maker but I still learnt something. Raffaela and her family are great hosts . I was also impressed with the very prompt follow-up the next day with photos and recipes. All in all a most enjoyable experience.
