Fly like a bird as you ride the thermal waves at heights of up to 2500ft! Tandem hang gliding is the perfect way to experience the thrill of silent flight as you take in the majestic panoramas, whilst under the careful control of your experienced hang glider pilot!

Have you ever wanted to feel the wind in your face and experience soaring through the ridges and thermals as you take in the stunning views of the panoramic mountains and sea views?

On the day of your tandem hang gliding experience, you’ll be met by our experienced and friendly staff at the airfield. You will be suited up in your own ‘pod’ harness and helmet and then attached to the hang glider. We use the latest tandem aero-towing techniques to provide the safest, most enjoyable experience possible. Our hang gliders are built for two people and you will get to experience the thrill of silent flight with your experienced hang gliding pilot!

You’ll be pulled to height by a specially designed tow-plane called a ‘tug’ and unlike hill launching, aero-towing allows us to take you as high as you want and release you anywhere. The sky truly is the limit and the views are thrilling.

As you are released by the tow plane at height (2500ft), your flight time will vary from 15 – 20 minutes, depending on weather conditions on the day and how ‘exciting’ you want your flight to be! Depending on your preferences, we can bask in the atmosphere and glide gently through the sky, or we can show you a little of what modern hang gliders are capable of!

At the end of the flight, you will land safely back at the airfield, skimming the wheels through the grass as you prepare to stop. Hang gliding is a truly incredible activity and one of the closest ways you can experience real flight!

Session Length

We are available for bookings 7 days a week, all year round (except Christmas Day) from sunrise to sunset. Actual flight time is 15 – 20 minutes, however, due to the nature of gliding, exact flight times cannot be guaranteed. Please allow approximately an hour for the entire experience.

Guidelines:

Weight restrictions apply and you must be under 105kg to participate in this activity. Children under 16 years of age will require parental consent. This activity is suitable for people from 10 - 90 years of age.

Numbers:

The price quoted is for one person. You will be flying tandem with your hang gliding instructor on the day. We can cater for up to 30 people on one day.

Spectators:

Spectators are welcome.

Weather:

This experience may be affected by the weather. Optimal conditions require dry weather and light wind conditions. In the event that your experience needs to be cancelled because of the prevailing conditions, we will reschedule your experience for a later date.

Other Info:

You will be required to sign a waiver and complete a medical declaration prior to participating in this experience. You can expect to glide at heights of up to 2500ft.
