Ever wanted to fly like a bird high over Christchurch's spectacular Peninsula? Now, here's your chance to enjoy the adrenalin of a tandem paragliding flight. Let your instructor guide you through the thermal up-draughts as you take control of the glider and experience the freedom of flight!

Try your hand soaring to new heights! We offer exciting tandem paragliding that will keep you literally on a high.

You will get to fly with your instructor during the tandem flight, which is the easiest and safest way to experience the thrill of paragliding. Unlike learning to fly solo, trial instructional tandem flights only require a 15-minute briefing before you are in the air for the first time!

While you are flying, your instructor will explain how the wings and brake handles work to control the glider. The flight will last between 20 and 30 minutes depending on weather conditions.

You are guaranteed to be in the air no less than 20 minutes on the day of your flight. By the end of the flight, you will have a basic understanding of how paragliders operate and fly.

This experience voucher is valid for 12 months from date of purchase.

Session Length

We operate daily, but bookings must be made at least 2 days in advance. All bookings are subject to availability. Please contact us on the morning of your flight to confirm suitable flight conditions. Please allow 2 hours - this includes transfers, set-up, briefing and the flight.

Guidelines:

Almost anyone can fly tandem! You must be less than 110kg and be able to walk without assistance.

Numbers:

This experience is for one person. We fly one person and their instructor at a time. There may be up to 6 people in the group on the day.

Spectators:

Spectators are welcome - make sure they bring their cameras!

Weather:

Paragliding and paramotoring is weather dependent. In the case of poor weather, we will reschedule your flight for a later date. Please phone us on the day of your booked flight at 9am to confirm that the weather is suitable.

Other Info:

You will be given a 15 minute briefing prior to your flight. The flight time depends on the weather, but is usually between 20 to 30 minutes in duration.
