Fly Your Own Scenic Flight - For 3
Learn to fly in Auckland, NZ! Here is your chance to impress two of your friends when you take them for an amazing scenic flight. It's the dream of every wannabe pilot or aviation enthusiast - soaring high in the sky, with help and encouragement from your instructor.
This is your opportunity to experience the thrill and excitement of flying a Cessna 172.
You will be the pilot for your one hour scenic flight over Auckland City, including One Tree Hill, Auckland International Airport, Sky Tower, as well as Waiheke Island, Rangitoto Island.
When you arrive at the airfield your instructor will give you and up to 2 others, a pre-flight briefing, explaining the aircraft controls and any safety procedures. Your briefing will take 10-15 minutes, after which your flight begins, with your qualified instructor who will be there to guide you during your flight and for take-off and landing.
After landing you might want to relax in the comfort of our club bar, buy a meal, and watch the planes go by.
Max individual participant weight is 110kg.
This experience voucher is valid for 12 months from date of purchase.
Venue:
Ardmore Airfield, Auckland.
Session Length
This experience is available seven days a week, from 8am - 5pm. Bookings are essential and are subject to availability. The duration of your flight will be approximately 1 hour.
Guidelines:
There is a maximum weight limit of 110kg. Participants should not have any major heart conditions. There are no age restrictions however you should be tall enough to reach the pedals of the plane. Bring a camera and money for lunch or drinks if you require.
Numbers:
The price quoted is for you and up to 2 others. You will be one-on-one with your instructor during your flight, with your 2 passengers.
Spectators:
Spectators are welcome. There is a large viewing deck and refreshments available for purchase. Four-seater planes are available, should you wish to take spectators in the air, however this is at an additional cost. Please contact the supplier to inquire.
Weather:
This experience may be affected by the weather. In the case of low cloud, high winds or heavy rain you should check in with our flight desk before leaving home. Your flight will be rescheduled if need be.
