Visit middle earth on the back of a motorcycle and discover the magical and mystical Hobbiton Village that was brought to life in The Lord of the Rings trilogy.

Start your motorbike tour with a pleasant ride through some of New Zealand’s most striking farmland with spectacular views across the Kaimai ranges. Upon reaching the Shires Rest you will have time to relax and enjoy your morning tea. It is from here that you will join your fully guided tour of this most wonderful place.

Having returned from the Hobbiton movie set we then head home, stopping in Tirau where it is time for lunch and for you to pick up those little souvenirs to remind you of what a remarkable day you have had.

Session Length

This experience is a full day tour with the tour starting at approximately 8.00am. This experience operates all year round (except Christmas day) and weather permitting.

Guidelines:

Minimum passenger age 7 years. On this experience you ride as a passenger, however a self-ride option is available for an additional cost.

Numbers:

We cater from the individual through to tour groups. As a rule we try to keep our numbers to a maximum of 10 people per tour so our guides can interact with our you on a more personable level. We have no minimum number.

Weather:

Due to the nature of our tours the weather can have an adverse affect on our tours. If this is the case, we will re-schedule the tour.

Please note that cancellation within 7 days of the tour start date will mean that all payments are forfeited. A Terms and Conditions Waiver must be signed by every individual prior to the start of the tour.
