260 feet of pure adrenalin, with a few strings attached. Sound like fun? A bungy with a difference drops brave thrill seekers towards the Rangitikei River, surrounded by sheer cliffs and lush native bush.
At 80 metres high, this is the highest bungy in the North Island, and has the world’s first completely water powered chairlift back up to the top of the bridge so no walking involved! And if you think that jumping in daylight is not scary enough, then trying throwing yourself off at night! With the canyon subtly lit, it is the most extreme night jumping experience you will find in New Zealand.
Once you reach us, you will have a few moments to get used to the sheer magnificence of the canyon, and to take a look at the height of the bungy from the viewing platform. We will then sign you up, strap you on to the bungy and let you take the leap of faith! Afterwards enjoy a hot coffee in the café and receive your certificate to show off to all your friends and also a repeat bungy jump ticket to come back and try the activity again as once is never enough!
This experience voucher is valid for 12 months from date of purchase.
20 minutes south east of Taihape.
The bungy will be operating everyday except Christmas day. Each jump takes approximately 10 minutes to complete, (depending how long you stand on the edge!)
The minimum age for a tandem bungy is 10 years, although if aged between 10 and 15 a parent or legal guardian's signature is required. No minimum weight for a tandem, maximum weight 180 kilos.
There is no maximum/minimum limit to the number in a group. Each bungy jumper is personally instructed by trained staff when they are about to take the leap of faith.
Definitely! We have a purpose built viewing platform adjacent to the café. It is great for taking photos as your friends and family face their fears by jumping off a perfectly good bridge!
The bungy is an activity for all weathers, however much more enjoyable when fine, sunny and warm! If the weather is cold and wet, please prepare yourselves by bringing warm, waterproof clothing.
All riders are required to complete a wavier form before they complete their activity. Minors may require a parent or guardians signature. The river level may affect bungy jumping so it is always advisable to ring before hand.
